Beth Lawrence, RN BSN
Bethany Lawrence RN, BSN CMC, founder and President of Aging Excellence is active in daily operations. An Entrepreneur at heart, Beth is a former Regional Clinical Director/Administrator for a Medicare Certified Home Health company that operated throughout the State of Maine. Personal experience with her own family and professional assessment of many home health clients made Beth aware of the virtual lack of non-medical services and activities that would allow individuals to maintain their independence and enhance the quality of life during times of illness and throughout the aging process.
As her mother entered the final stages of cancer in 1999, Beth could not find a company that offered non-medical services to help support her mother and family in a thoughtful and comprehensive manner. Months later, she created one. Bethany franchised the business in 2003. Aging Excellence currently has eight offices providing services throughout the state of Maine.
Kate Adams
Since 2004, Kate has been a pivotal executive in the Aging Excellence corporation. Kate is also Vice President of Sweatt Investments Inc. which owns 5 franchise locations of Aging Excellence. She is a Certified Aging Life Care Manager, Alzheimer’s Care Trainer and Parkinson’s Disease Allied Professional (a Parkinson’s Disease Support Group facilitator for 9 years).
Kate was raised in Maine and graduated from Bowdoin College. She proceeded into a “first career” in film and television production living and working on both coasts. Returning to Maine in 2004 she started her “second career” as an entrepreneur committed to keeping seniors active and independent and in their own homes with Aging Excellence. Kate happily lives on a farm with a few animals and teenage sons.
